I am Stina Goršič and I come from Celje, Slovenia.
I studied South Slavic Studies and American Studies at Humboldt University in Berlin - during a semester abroad which I spent in Zagreb, Croatia, I met an American Kyle Milne, who turned out to be my future husband and the other Moto Migrant.
I am loud and stubborn, I think big, and strive to keep an open mind and be a good person. I am also a yoga teacher and an avid Ashtangi.
I like friends, untouched nature, animals, good parties, bonfires, books, coffee, good food, Depeche Mode and Prince, traveling and exploring authentic cultures, and especially being a Moto Migrant.
By the way: as much as I love the freedom of roaming around on a motorcycle, I am not much of a rider and have no clue about motorcycle maintenance (so you see, you can do it too!).
I believe that you need to know how to make a firm decision and then just keep going, with an open mind and patience, until you reach places you never knew you could... In other words, I guess my motto is: when you make a decision, your options are limited.
I believe in solidarity, integrity and civil rights, and I have learned that the world is safer than we think.
I also believe, as a traveler, that the world is beautiful, diverse and colorful, and that nature is precious - but that it is appallingly full of trash and pollution and that we are running out of wildlife and pristine nature; our way of life is not sustainable, we are living in our own limited selfish bubbles, without realizing that it is all interconnected - that we are all interconnected. I do hope that we figure it out in time and change our priorities, so that we can inhabit and travel around our beautiful planet for the generations to come.
My name is Kyle Milne
I was born in Ontario, Canada and grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania USA. I have a Masters in Sculpture and at this point in life feel like I have a Masters in Traveling :)
I grew up camping and traveling (USA and Europe), and then racing, and then moto traveling with lots of stuff in between, like making art, hanging out with friends, ten years of university (lol), traveling, hiking, biking and just trying to see this big beautiful crazy world that we live in.
I've been riding some sort of motorcycle since I was a child, dirtbikes were my main obsession since I was 13 and continue to be to this day. I spent a good part of my youth racing offroad and was pretty good, winning a few championships. To this day I still drag us to crazy races like Red Bull Romaniacs (Romania) or riding crazy roads like the Death Road in Bolivia. Stina likes to say that the motorcycle is just another extension of my body. Even after months long trips, I only take a day off without riding. Going to the grocery store on a bike is even fun for me, if I don't ride for a few days I get cranky, that's how bad it is :)
Even though I've taken a hiatus from art, it was always influenced by my travels so the two are kind of connected. And to this day, I always try to check out some galleries or an art museum whenever we land in a new town. Exploringing these cultures is exciting to me, sometimes even I have to admit that there is a lot more to see than just twisting the throttle for eight hours a day :)
